EXOSKELETON V2.0
This clear statement from our employee, who was among the first to test the latest generation of passive exoskeletons, symbolizes the continuous development of these assistive suits, which BTS provides to all warehouse employees. Their primary use is in supporting strenuous tasks, such as lifting heavy cabinets.
“The exoskeleton noticeably relieves muscles and joints in the back area.”, says Christoph Kröz, who, alongside Managing Director Alfredo Morganella, is spearheading its implementation at the logistics center in Owen Teck. “Support systems are always welcome here if they sustainably alleviate physical work – which is why I am enthusiastic about this system.”
During lifting and carrying activities during order picking, our employees' backs are now significantly less strained by this tool. The exoskeletons currently in use are passive, weigh only about 4 kilograms, and are designed to support movement sequences and be flexibly deployed through quick donning and doffing.
With this technology, we will not only make our company processes more efficient but also sustainably improve the health of our employees.
