EXOSKELLET V2.0
This clear statement by our employee, who was one of the first to test the latest generation of passive exoskeletons, is emblematic of the consistent further development of the assistive suits that BTS makes available to all warehouse employees. They are mainly used to support strenuous work, for example when lifting heavy cabinets.
"The exoskeleton noticeably relieves the strain on muscles and joints in the back area," says Christoph Kröz, who, along with Managing Director Alfredo Morganella, is spearheading the deployment at the logistics center in Owen Teck. "Support systems are always welcome at our company if they relieve physical work in the long term - that's why I'm excited about this system."
During lifting and carrying activities during order picking, this tool now puts far less strain on our employees' backs. The exoskeletons currently in use are passive, weigh only about 4 kilograms and are designed to support movement sequences and be used flexibly by being put on and taken off quickly.
With this technology, we will not only make our processes in the company more efficient, but also sustainably improve the health of our employees.
