Eberhard Bebion founds the company in Nürtingen with one truck. First transports for Alex Linder GmbH, at that time a leading manufacturer of object and bank furnishings.

Founded by Eberhard and Ariane Bebion and Michael Herrmann in Nürtingen, Germany

Start S48 distribution traffic

Die BTS Logistik GmbH startet den S48 Verteilerverkehr in Deutschland. Dieser fokussiert sich auf die Auslieferung von Möbelkleinsendungen (< 1 m³) an den Fachhandel innerhalb von 48 Stunden.

Takeover of the company by Michael Herrmann

Eberhard Bebion sells BTS Bebion Transport und Spedition to Michael Herrmann and leaves the company. Transformation of the company into BTS Bebion Transport und Spedition GmbH at the Nürtingen site.

Vehicle fleet:
12 trucks with AWL swap body system, plus 35 AWL furniture swap bodies. The first 10 new furniture swap bodies system BDF are put into service.

S48 Distribution traffic expands

BTS Logistik GmbH expands S48 distribution traffic (within 72/96 hours) to the Benelux and French border areas.

Move to larger premises

BTS Bebion Transport + Spedition GmbH is renamed BTS Spedition GmbH. In the same year, BTS Spedition GmbH and BTS Logistik GmbH move to a larger facility in Kirchheim unter Teck.

Looking north

Establishment of a branch of BTS Spedition GmbH in Melle in Pestelstraße with 1,200 m² of warehouse space for expansion in northern Germany and better handling of transports nationwide.

Digitization begins

BTS Spedition GmbH begins introducing delivery scanning on all long-distance trucks and in the warehouse. Result: time savings and error minimization.

Location determination

BTS Spedition GmbH introduces the first telematics on all trucks. From now on, all vehicle locations can be queried at any time.

We need space

BTS Spedition GmbH and BTS Logistik GmbH move the companies' headquarters to the current location in Owen and increase the total storage capacity to 6,000 m². At the same time, the vehicle fleet is expanded and the 30th truck is put into service.

BTS Spedition GmbH extends the technology of delivery scanning to all vehicles of the forwarding partners and all distribution transports.

Mr. Eberhard Bebion takes over the shares of BTS Logistik GmbH from his daughter Ariane Bebion.

Michael Herrmann becomes sole shareholder of BTS Logistik GmbH.

Merger of BTS Spedition GmbH and BTS Logistik GmbH into one company. Both operate under the name BTS Logistik GmbH with immediate effect.

Increase in capacity

The demand increases and with the growth of the company the need for more vehicles grows. The fleet increases the number of trucks to 45. To optimize transports, start of the use of a digital driver cockpit and expansion with a tracking and telematics tool.

Takeover of Walter Dähling Spedition

In order to open up further areas, BTS Logistik acquires Walter Dähling Möbelspedition und Güterfernverkehr GmbH. The headquarters are moved from Hamburg to Börnsen and the company is renamed Walter Dähling Spedition GmbH.

At the turn of the year, 100 new jumbo swap bodies are put into service. This brings the total stock to 350 units.

Reinforcement in the management

In June 2019, Alfredo Morganella will be appointed as Managing Director and, together with Michael Herrmann, will lead BTS Logistik GmbH and Walter Dähling Spedition GmbH.

In March 2019, Walter Dähling Spedition GmbH will be relocated again (from Börnsen to Melle) and become the new head office for the northern German area.

With the expansion of long-distance transport, the total number of vehicles is again increased and 10 additional trucks are put into service for long-distance new furniture transport. This increases the fleet to 50 vehicles.

Increase in storage capacity in Melle

The branch in Melle is bursting at the seams and so the headquarters are moved to a larger warehouse with 4,000 m² of space in Spenger Straße. This proactively accommodates the expanded order situation. With the completion of section 1, a racking system with 1,100 storage spaces was added.

After the relocation of the company, the headquarters of Walter Dähling Spedition GmbH follows suit and is also moved to Melle.
