Description

The fleet manager primarily ensures that all vehicles are used economically. In doing so, all prescribed safety requirements must be met. He or she must ensure that the required number of vehicles is always available at the right location in order to provide dispatching with an optimal basis for carrying out all transports and to guarantee that company processes run smoothly. In addition to organization and planning, the fleet manager/manager has major budgetary responsibilities because he is responsible for operating costs, toll charges and compliance with all legal requirements. His or her duties also include optimizing processes in the fleet management workflow and reducing costs. When procuring new or replacement vehicles, the need must be clarified together with the management, taking into account the business development. When it comes to the acquisition of new vehicles and their technical specifications, good negotiating skills with suppliers are required.

Responsibilities / Main tasks

The management of the vehicle pool
The assignment of vehicles to drivers in close coordination with the dispo
The organization of maintenance and support
Purchasing strategies
Financing methods
Tenders for the vehicle fleet
Reporting of key figures such as fuel consumption, mileage of vehicles per month, etc. and invoice control
Automotive Engineering
Road safety
Holder liability
Negotiation skills internally and externally
Initial driver training and further annual training
Initial driver training on all company-specific processes and operating equipment
Driver talks for sustainable cost reduction
Entering or maintaining information in the fleet software

Qualifications / Requirements

Successfully completed training as a motor vehicle mechatronics technician with further training as a motor vehicle foreman and professional experience
Friendly appearance, distinctive team orientation
A high degree of responsibility, initiative and communication skills
Structured and careful way of working with a high quality standard
Negotiation skills

The customers have a corresponding demand. We therefore take a lot of time to train you until you independently and on your own responsibility master a cross-national logistics system, coordinate the tours with the manufacturers' production and use our fleet of vehicles accordingly.
